About
Founded in 1947 among the historic vineyards of Marsala. In 1997, three winegrowing families took over the Cantine Vinci brand. The portfolio runs wide across Sicilian grapes. Disiari Grillo Sicilia DOC, Calavianca Catarratto Terre Siciliane IGP, Calicanto Zibibbo Secco, Calarussa Frappato, Tinciri Nero D'Avola Sicilia DOC. A Passito Zibibbo comes from grapes grown on estate-owned land, while the Vigna Moresca line covers Zibibbo, Malvasia and Moscato. Taninè, a sweet fortified red, sits alongside two Marsala wines, the Fine Ambra Semisecco DOC, aged in oak for at least a year, and the Superiore Ambra Garibaldi Dolce DOC. Then there is the almond wine, Sogno...di una notte di mezza estate Vino Mandorla. Harvested in September from vines trained on spalliera with Guyot pruning, it reaches 16% alcohol and rests a minimum of three months in bottle before release.
