About
Brandl works three distinct vineyard sites across Kamptal, each with its own geology and expression. Lamm sits at the foot of Heiligenstein, one of the hottest locations in the Kamptal, its sandy silt and loess soils producing Grüner Veltliner classified as Kamptal DAC Reserve. Kogelberg's weathered granite, gneiss, and slate produce a different Grüner Veltliner, also Reserve-level. Heiligenstein itself, formed from metamorphosed Permian desert sand into conglomerate with primary rock and warm sand, yields a Riesling of the same caliber. The portfolio includes Gelber Muskateller from Terrassen.
