About Bodegas Mas Alta S.A
La Vilella Alta, Priorat. Two Belgian families, Lambrecht and Vanhoutte, founded Bodegas Mas Alta in 1999 on vineyard parcels that climb from 300 to 550 meters across the municipality. Michel Tardieu is the winemaker. Garnacha and Cariñena grow in terrain where annual rainfall averages around 300 mm and vines, once established beyond two years, receive no irrigation. The entire vineyard has been certified organic since 2009. Els Pics and La Creu Alta are notable wines.
