About the winery
Tucked beneath Mt. Difficulty and kissed by the Kawarau River, Black Quail Estate in Central Otago makes wine from some seriously unforgiving terrain, which is exactly the point. The Keillor family has been coaxing intensity and character out of these harsh slopes since 1999, crafting small batches that just keep getting richer.
