Birgit Braunstein

About

Birgit Braunstein has stewarded four centuries of winemaking at Langstreckhof in Purbach, a property situated on Leithaberg terroir with limestone and crystalline slate soil, within a UNESCO World Heritage site. The work here is defined by biodynamic practice and minimal intervention. Spontaneous fermentation, no fining, restraint in the cellar. The portfolio spans both reds, Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch and Pinot Noir, and whites, Grüner Veltliner, Sauvignon Blanc, Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Weißburgunder, and Chardonnay. Max and Felix represent the next generation.
