About Belguardo - Mazzei
Eighty hectares in Tuscan Maremma, between Grosseto and Montiano, where the Mazzei family established Belguardo in the middle of the 1990s. Forty-eight hectares of vineyard face south and west across hills characterized by Alberese and sandstone rock. The soil is a fine gravel breakdown of sandstone and limestone-clay. Proximity to the Tyrrhenian Sea influences the microclimate, with strong thermal currents during spring and summer.
