About Baier
Baier has been in Rußbach since 1794, now eight generations deep under Herbert Baier's hand. The vineyard sits on loess soil, where Grüner Veltliner and Gelber Muskateller are produced. The 2025 Grüner Veltliner DAC Ried Goldberg scored 91 points at the Falstaff Weinviertel DAC Cup and 92 in Weißweinguide Austria. The Gelber Muskateller trocken 2025 placed second at VINARIA in its category. The heuriger, Am Platzl, is the tasting room.
