Forty-two kilometers west of Tunuyán, Los Chacayes commands 102,500 hectares across elevation ranging from 900 to 1,300 meters. Route 89 connects the region to Tupungato in thirty kilometers. RP 94 offers an alternative approach. The territory holds its own geographical indication. Wine production here has earned international standing for quality. In 2024, Argentina nominated Los Chacayes for Best Tourism Villages.
