Ancient Oak Cellars

Melissa Moholt-Siebert shapes the program at Ancient Oak Cellars in Sebastopol, drawing fruit from Russian River Valley and Sonoma Mountain. The work moves through native-yeast fermentation in open-top dairy tanks, hand-sorting and hand-punch-down before French oak aging. Three tiers structure the portfolio. Reserve Series, Single-Vineyard Series, and Appellation Series each carry Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Zinfandel from the valley, alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc from the mountain. The tasting room opens Thursday through Saturday by appointment only, with limited appointments reflecting the cellar's ongoing rebuild after the Tubbs wildfire.
