About
South Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Steve and Kathryn Barwikowski purchased the property in 2019, inheriting 28.5 acres that once served as a dairy farm, barns dating to 1840 still standing. The land had been planted as Apponagansett Bay Vineyard in 1980 by Anne Webb, supplying grapes to New England wineries for nearly four decades. The Barwikowskis have replanted more than 13,000 new vines across 13 acres, half of them French-American hybrids suited to the region's climate. The program now produces Chardonnay, Riesling, and Pinot Grigio. Located less than a mile from the ocean and a short drive from Padanaram village.
