Altar Uco is a tiny producer in Mendoza's high Valle de Uco region, where Juan Pablo Michelini and Maia Echegoyen chase increasingly pure and delicate expressions of terroir across preferred zones like Gualtallary, Los Chacayes, and Villa Seca. They're focused on capturing both the place itself and their human interpretation of it, which is the kind of thoughtful winemaking that makes small-batch bottles special.
