About Alpine Garden Winery
Alpine Garden Winery began in 2021 when Ryan Classen and Jamie Robinson formalized what Classen had started twelve years earlier, planting his first vines in Bartlett in 2009. Classen studied wine-growing in Australia and New Zealand. Robinson joined the work in 2018 and has been learning the vineyard and cellar since. The program grows La Crescent and Sabrevois, with 2,500 additional hybrid vines now in the ground. The practice uses holistic and regenerative farming methods. In the cellar, native yeast fermentation is used without added sugars or manipulative additives. Wine and cider come from local fruit with minimal intervention processing. The tasting room is located at Alpine Garden Glamping Village and welcomes visitors without reservation.
