Weingut Paul Rogenwieser carries a family winemaking tradition in Kirchheim an der Weinstraße that traces to 1528. The winery itself was founded in 1736, then relocated to its current home on the Weinstraße in 1807. Paul Rogenwieser has managed the program for over 40 years, expanding the vineyard from 12 hectares to 21 hectares between 1994 and 1997. The portfolio spans Spätburgunder, Merlot, Portugieser, Riesling, Kerner, Grauburgunder, and Sauvignon Blanc, alongside alcohol-free Secco and Wein. R1 is produced from the house's most exposed vineyard sites.
