About SchmittWeine

Eight generations of winemaking in Hohen-Sülzen, Rheinhessen. SchmittWeine produces Dornfelder, Spätburgunder, Riesling, Chardonnay, Weißburgunder, Grauburgunder, Cabernet Blanc, Portugieser, Müller-Thurgau, and Morio-Muskat. The 2025 vintage brought Silberne Kammerpreismünze awards across the range, from dry Riesling Alte Rebe and Grauburgunder to the sweeter Dornfelder Rosé lieblich and Eisbach selections. The tasting room offers food and outdoor seating. May 2026 brings weekend Straußwirtschaft service on May 8-9, 15-16, 22-23, and 29-30, open until 10 PM. Orders of 12 bottles or more ship free.
