About
Bacharach sits in the Mittelrhein, where Weingut Baer works over 20 hectares across four vineyard sites. Riesling dominates the portfolio at 90% of plantings, yielding dry wines aged for at least two years in bottle before release. The work unfolds on slate slopes, some reaching 70 percent gradient, where vines older than 70 years anchor the steepest parcels. Two monopoly vineyards, Bacharacher Posten and Heylesen Werth, anchor the program. Heylesen Werth carries Erste Lage classification. The family-operated house hosts events and tastings at a historic manor.
