Weingut Steintal

About

Winemaking in Klingenberg am Main traces back to 1261. Weingut Steintal works 11 hectares across three municipalities, Klingenberg, Großheubach, and Bürgstadt, planted almost entirely to Spätburgunder on heritage-protected terraced steep slopes. Every harvest is by hand. Terra 1261 Pinot Noir took first place in World of Fine Wine's German Pinot Noir competition in 2018. The 2015 collection received Collection of the Year from Eichelmann. The winery was awarded four of five stars in Weinführer 2018. It was named one of 750 best wineries in Germany by Feinschmecker in 2017 and received Discovery of the Year in 2013 by Wein-Plus.eu. The winery was nominated for Winzer des Jahres in 2016 by Falstaff.
