About Reichsrat von Buhl
Reichsrat von Buhl traces to 1849, when Franz Peter Buhl claimed his portion of the divided Jordan estate in Deidesheim. The house produces Riesling, drawing grapes from vineyard sites around Deidesheim and Forst. A von Buhl Riesling was served at the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869. Fermentation happens in the historic cellar. Tastings run daily from 10 to 19, offering up to 8 wines for €15 per person, free with purchase. Groups of five or fewer need no advance reservation.
