About Winzerverein Meersburg eG
Valentin Wagner, Herbert Mayer, and Susanne Scheinert shape the program at this Meersburg cooperative. Wagner oversees the cellar while Mayer, a young winemaker, sources Riesling from Wangen bei Markdorf. Scheinert designs and paints the labels. The portfolio spans crossings like Müller-Thurgau, a Riesling and Madeleine Royale hybrid, and Kerner, Riesling crossed with Trollinger. Graue Burgunder and its mutation Weisse Burgunder anchor the whites. Spätburgunder Rosé arrives in pastel pink with silvery shimmer. Spätburgunder Weißherbst carries the original Bodensee color, onion-skin toned. Rotling, pressed and fermented from white and red grapes together, takes its local name from the 101er-Sticher, the society of 101 Meersburg citizens.
