Serrig, in the Saar, sits on steep terrain that demands every vineyard task be done by hand. Christian Ebert tends 10 hectares here, work the family acquired in 1956. Riesling is the focus. The program rejects synthetic fertilizers and insecticides, practicing natural winemaking without certification. Three tiers shape the portfolio. VDP.GUTSWEIN 'Saarstein' opens the range, followed by VDP.ORTSWEIN 'Schloss Saarstein' and VDP.GROSSE LAGE 'Serriger Schloss Saarsteiner'. The winery trains one or two apprentices at a time. A fully-glazed terrace accommodates up to 50 guests.
