Helmut Plunien tends old family vineyards on the Saar in Ayl and Wiltingen, on southern-facing slopes. The vines are mostly ungrafted, fermented with natural yeasts. Bottles arrive dark and slender, the traditional shape of the Mosel. A tasting room welcomes visitors.
