Healdsburg has a genuine anchor for sparkling wine in Breathless Wines. Three sisters making méthode champenoise sparklers, festive without being loud about it.
Fair Winds Winery in Dry Creek Valley hosts tastings in a 22,000 square foot wine cave on a property dating to 1969. Amphora Winery has been making small-batch wines in Dry Creek for over 25 years. David Coffaro is a tiny operation. 5,000 cases from 20 acres, hands-on by design.
Alexander Valley
Jordan Vineyard and Winery has been making Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon since the 1970s, one of the more established names in Alexander Valley. Hafner Vineyard goes back to 1967, three generations of the same family, a still-wine producer that rounds out a sparkling-focused visit with some context.
Francis Ford Coppola's Geyserville estate spans wine, film, food, and music, a broader stop for a longer afternoon. Bills Tasting Room does tastings and lunches with their own culinary team, sustainably farmed Napa and Sonoma wines.
