Terreno sits in Chianti Classico, just outside Greve in Chianti, across 150 hectares of land. Twenty of those are vineyard. Ten are olive groves. Giacomo Fioravanti and Sofia Ruhne lead the program, which has run since 1988. Fioravanti spent over a decade at Isole e Olena before joining. Ruhne leads the producer organisation of Montefioralle. The cellar works with Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino, Trebbiano Toscano, and Malvasia. All grapes are harvested by hand, then sorted again to remove damaged or unripe fruit. The vineyard has been certified organic since 2014. Sulphur additions stay minimal. Around 100,000 bottles leave the cellar each year. A restaurant operates on the property from early spring through late autumn, with head chef Francesco Galli.
