About Rolly Gassmann
Rolly Gassmann's roots in Rorschwihr run to 1611, when the family began working these Alsatian vineyards. The village itself appears in wine records from 742. Today the domain spans 55 hectares across terrain with 21 types of subsoil, predominantly limestone, within Rorschwihr's 250-hectare vineyard area. The 12 defined crus here carry documented reputation back to 1000 or earlier. A team of 10 tends the vines using biodynamic practices, drawing on plant preparations including nettle, chamomile, horsetail, valerian, oak bark, and dandelion flower. The winery operates as an independent producer and grape grower.
