About Pietradolce

Pietradolce sits on Etna's north slope in Solicchiata, a frazione near Castiglione di Sicilia. Thirty hectares spread across four named contrade, Rampante, Zottorinotto, Santo Spirito, and Feudo di Mezzo, range from 650 to 950 meters in elevation. Two additional hectares on the east slope in Contrada Caselle sit at 850 meters. Fermentation occurs in small tulip-shaped concrete tanks of 40 hectoliters each. Red wines age in an underground barrel cellar in oak. The winery is located a few kilometers from Etna National Park.
