Pax opened in Joching in 2020, a project from winemakers Franz Pichler and Verena Axmann in Austria's Wachau. The program centers on Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, with the portfolio anchored by Weißenkirchen Federspiel, Bachsatz Smaragd, Kollmitz Smaragd, and Riesling Höll Smaragd. The work has earned Discovery of the Year 2023 with ratings to 97 points and gold medals at the Golden Grape Awards 2024. A tasting room overlooks the surrounding vineyards from a terrace. Visits require advance reservation.
