About Klee Henri
Klee Henri has been in Katzenthal since 1624, twelve generations of vignerons tending the same soil. The family developed the Wineck-Schlossberg terroir over centuries and began bottling wines commercially in the 1950s. Today they work 13.5 hectares across seven communes, mostly on granitic earth where vines average forty years old. The program centers on Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Pinot Gris. In the early 20th century, they began distilling their own fruits. The cellar now produces the Pinot Noir Barrique l'Exception 2023, the Riesling Grand Cru Wineck-Schlossberg 2023, and the Pinot Gris Sélection de Grains Nobles 2017, which earned a Coup de Coeur from Guide Hachette. The vineyard practices plowing and cover cropping, abandoned fertilizers entirely, and holds Haute Valeur Environnemental level 3 certification.
