About Domaine Ponsot
Domaine Ponsot in Morey-Saint-Denis has been in the hands of five generations of winegrowers since 1872. Eric Goettelmann now leads the program, working primarily with Pinot Noir and Aligoté. The house's signature is Clos des Monts-Luisants Monopole, a white Premier Cru from the Côte de Nuits. Vines there were planted in 1911 and first bottled on the estate in the early 1920s. It remains the only Premier Cru in Burgundy made from Aligoté. Newer additions include Cuvée de l'Abeille, from vines replanted in 2014 in Les Epointures, and Cuvée du Pinson, produced since 2017.
