About CHIONETTI s.s.a
Giuseppe Chionetti purchased a cascina at San Luigi in Dogliani in 1912, establishing a winery now in its fifth generation of family ownership. Quinto ran the operation for over fifty years, and in the 1950s, Chionetti was among the first three families in Dogliani to bottle their own Dolcetto. Quinto and his son Andrea were the first to write vineyard names on the label. In 2015, Nicola took over winemaking and began Barolo production. The winery cultivates vineyards in organic farming practices, including San Luigi, located on a hillside with a cedar tree at the top. The portfolio spans Dogliani DOCG, Barolo DOCG, Barbera d'Alba DOC, Langhe Nebbiolo, and Langhe Riesling.
