About Beer
Großriedenthal, in the Wagram, since 1956. Josef Beer started as a day laborer with a plan for his own winery. He and his wife Theresia bought their first vineyard in the Riede Reith. Their son, also named Josef, married Gerda, and the two raised Bianca and Christoph. Christoph finished his training as a winemaker at eighteen. Nine of the country's best grape varieties grow across the estate today, alongside a Sortengarten, a research and trial vineyard holding 69 varieties gathered from around the world. Direct sales happen ab Hof every second Saturday of the month, 14.00 to 18.00, at 3471 Großriedenthal 250.
