About Weingut Volz

Five generations of family stewardship in Essingen, southern Palatinate. Weingut Volz works Riesling, Grauburgunder, Weißburgunder, Spätburgunder, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, and Merlot across vineyards that shifted to organic management in 2021, earning official certification from the 2024 vintage onward. The program includes PIWI varieties. Ouessant sheep graze the rows, tending soil and supporting biodiversity. The cellar produces still wines, Sekt, and Weinschorle.
