About Weingut Georg Naegele
Weingut Georg Naegele sits at Schlossgasse in Hambach, at the foot of Hambacher Schloss, in a former Prince-Bishop's tithe cellar. Founded in 1796, the winery remains in its eighth generation of family stewardship. The program centers on Riesling, Silvaner, Scheurebe, Muskateller, and Weißburgunder. The Am Kirchenberg Riesling trocken 2025 won Gold and 92 points at the VINUM Riesling Champion 2026 competition. The Weißburgunder was named best of the Pfalz by LWK Rheinland-Pfalz. Sommerglück, a cuvée of Silvaner, Scheurebe, and Muskateller, and Frühlingsbote are part of the portfolio. Since 2005, the house has received the Staatsehrenpreis of Rhineland-Palatinate seventeen times in twenty years. Feinschmecker named the winery among Germany's best in 2026.
