About Martin Kerpen

Martin Kerpen is located in Bernkastel-Kues in the heart of the Mittelmosel region. The winery was founded in 1803, and the Kerpen family has made wine here for 220 years across 9 generations. Martin Kerpen himself took over in 1988 after studying oenology in Geisenheim. The work centers on Riesling across 9.5 hectares. In January 2024, Matthias Kerpen and Vivien Kerpen jointly lead the winery. The house also operates a Riesling-Café that functions as a Straußwirtschaft for four months each year.
