About Yellow Car Country Wines
Jean and Jim Wooton opened Yellow Car Country Wines in Cortez in 2019, four days after receiving their final state license. They learned winemaking from a friend with a vineyard in Germany's Mosel region. The portfolio spans Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, and Riesling alongside fruit wines and meads including Honey Wine, Chocolate Mint Madness, Pumpkin Pie, and Peach Pineapple Wine. Dogs are welcome. Food comes through partnerships with local restaurants, or bring your own snacks. The winery is part of RV Camping At Wineries, Breweries, Farms and More.
