About Wild Mountain Winery
Alan and Judy Olson planted grapes in 1994 on 15.5 acres at the second highest point in Chisago County. Mark and Jenni Olson, alongside Ray and Nancy Johnson, now run the winery. The winery opened in 2010, two years after the Olsons began making wine. Wild River Red blends Marechal Foch and Frontenac in American Oak at 12% ABV. Aurora Borealis, a Port from Frontenac aged 14 years or more, reaches 19% ABV. The property offers camping and glamping. Live music plays Saturday afternoons on the patio during summer. Dogs on a leash are welcome.
