Dave Pickerell, a legendary distiller, created WhistlePig in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. The program centers on rye whiskey, though the portfolio extends to bourbon, wheat whiskey, and single malt. Meghan Ireland leads as Chief Blender, with Mitch Mahar as R&D Distiller. The Boss Hog XII is a single barrel, barrel strength rye finished in pulque curado de cacao barrel. Distribution reaches all 50 states.
