About Weingut Heiss
Matthias Heiß took over the family operation in 2008, after training at Weinbauschule Krems. Several generations have worked these vineyards on Wagram loess soil, in the hamlet of Engelmannsbrunn. The winery runs a heuriger, the traditional Austrian wine tavern, opening three times yearly to pour its own wines alongside regional home cooking and classic heuriger fare.
