Wailand began in 1996 on five hectares across Ried Mitterberg and Ried Pratteln. Dr. Georg Wailand, a journalist, produces Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, and Zweigelt. The winery operates a Buschenschank in Ried Pratteln, open Saturdays and Sundays from 1 PM, March through November, with outdoor seating and views over Vienna.
