Wahluke Wine Company, founded in 1997 in Mattawa, operates as the production and storage backbone for a family-scale wine enterprise. The Milbrandt family, who planted their first vineyard that same year in the Wahluke Slope AVA, now farms nearly 2,300 acres across 12 distinct sites, including Evergreen Vineyard and Ancient Lane Vineyard seven miles northwest of George. The company handles crush-to-bottle work, tank and barrel storage, and case goods warehousing, producing nearly half a million cases annually. The program makes wine for Ryan Patrick Vineyards and Milbrandt Vineyards, the family's own label. No tasting room.
