About Torcilacqua

Matteo Mariotti took over Torcilacqua in June 2018 at Badia a Passignano in Chianti Classico. South and south-west facing slopes at 350 meters altitude support vineyards averaging 20 years old, planted at 5,000 vines per hectare. The program produces Chianti Classico in 6,000 bottles annually, a Riserva in 1,500, alongside Torcilacqua IGT and Opìmo in 2,000 bottles each. The winery also produces extra virgin olive oil from 1,400 olive plants, including Moraiolo, Leccino, Frantoio, and Pendolino varieties.
