About Thistle and Weed

Thistle and Weed is a boutique winery collaboration between the Terblanche and Wiid families established in 2015, led by viticulturist Etienne Terblanche and winemaker Stephanie Wiid. Inspired by the weeds and thistles found amongst Cape vineyards, they craft honest wines with minimal intervention that express the terroir and vintage. Their philosophy centers on connection to nature, simplicity, and honesty in winemaking.
