The Wine Rack opened in Howell in 2004 as a small family-owned business at the corner of Grand River and Walnut Street in Historic Downtown Howell. The portfolio spans whites like Moscato, Riesling, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay alongside reds including Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir. Signature wines include Dolci Momenti, a Moscato, City of Light, a Piesporter, Beethoven's Finest, a Gewurztraminer, and Opera House, a Cabernet Sauvignon. The tasting room pairs wine with handmade thin-crust pizzas baked in a stone oven, cheese plates, baked brie, and salads. Seasonal specialty wines and limited-release reserves round out the program.
