About

Roberto Alvarez founded The Vine Yard in Leeds in 2012, planting the vineyard over five separate years. He had completed winemaking courses in Ensenada, Mexico in 2011. The first wine made was Zinfandel. The program now spans 10 Vitis Vinifera varietals drawn from France, Spain, and Croatia. Cariñena, Garnacha, Petite Syrah, Tempranillo, and Syrah sit alongside Zinfandel. The whites include Albariño, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon Blanc, and Viognier. Fifteen wines emerge from these ten varietals and their blends. Tastings include tapas and a visit to the winery and vineyard.
