About The Sanger Family of Wines
The Sanger Family of Wines began in 1999 in Buellton, drawing from Sanger Estate Vineyard in the Santa Ynez Valley. Brett Escalera works across Syrah, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Rhône and Bordeaux varieties. The portfolio includes Consilience, acquired in late 2013, which produces fewer than 2,000 cases annually with most wines under 150 cases. The house also tends Sanger Family Olive Grove, planted with Lucca olives from Tuscany. Taste at the Solvang room, 1584 Mission Drive, open Tuesday through Thursday 12:00 to 7:00pm, Friday through Monday 11:30 to 9:30pm.
