Founded by Emmy-winning sports broadcaster Jim Nantz and wine entrepreneur Peter Deutsch, who met by chance in 2009 and bonded over fathers who'd urged them both to find their life's calling. Since the first vintage in 2012, The Calling has focused on elegant Sonoma wines — Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, plus Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.
