About St Huberts Cellar Door
Charles Hubert de Castella, a Swiss winemaker, established St Huberts in 1862. The house lay dormant until 1966, when it reopened as one of the first wineries to replant in the Yarra Valley. Under winemaker Greg Jarratt, the program produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Merlot, and Roussanne. The Stag Chardonnay, The Stag Shiraz, and The Stag Yarra Valley Pinot Noir anchor the portfolio. The cellar door opens seven days a week from 10 am to 5 pm, where local cheese and charcuterie accompany tastings. Notes wine shop stocks up to seventy Australian wines. Hubert's dining and a tiered wine club complete the offering.
