About Spire Mountain Cellars
Spire Mountain Cellars began in 1999 on the foothill of Tyee mountain in Oakland, Oregon, at the northwestern edge of the Umpqua Valley AVA. Kevin and Karen Kohlman's family operation grows at 1200 feet elevation, with Pinot Noir first planted in the Iron Wheel Vineyard that same year. The program now spans Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Pinot Gris, and Riesling, including the Oregon Dry Riesling, Oregon Pinot Gris, and Tricycle Rosé. The tasting room occupies a converted barn, open Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 5.
