Sleeping Bear Wines

About

Sleeping Bear Wines began as Norm Moffatt's retirement hobby in Jackson, Michigan. His wife Alice, daughters Holly and Heather, and sister Anne transformed it into a family operation dedicated to 100% Michigan-grown fruit. The portfolio spans 35+ wines alongside 4 beers and 3 ciders, all made in house. Norm's Legacy, a Chardonnay and Vignoles blend, honors the founder. The 2025 Sassy Rosé, a dry Cabernet Franc, takes its name from their first vineyard dog, Rosie. The cafe serves fresh food made in house. Indoor seating, patio, and lawn areas with fireplace tables are available. Summer brings wine slushies, winter offers mulled wine. Choose-your-own flights, wines by the glass or bottle, and beers and ciders on tap.
