Savage Serenity

About

Jane and Mark Vogt founded Savage Serenity in 2013, planting vines first at Foxes Den Vineyard that spring, then expanding to Four Degrees Vineyard a year later. The tasting barn at Four Degrees dates to the 1930s, built by the Amish. Jane's family acquired the property in 1877 as a tobacco farm. Winemaking began in 2016 with 165 cases. A production barn followed in 2020. Today the program produces 1,500 cases annually, working with Albariño, Vidal, Chambourcin, Barbera, and Petit Manseng in Southern Prince Georges County.
