About Riepl
Riepl, founded in 2002 in Gols on the Neusiedlersee, is run by Christine Riepl and Gerhard Riepl alongside Susanne I., a young winemaker who represented Burgenland wine from 2020 to 2023 and Austrian wine in 2022/23. Christine Riepl herself held the Wine Queen title. The program centers on Weißburgunder and Merlot. White grapes are gently pressed after individual maceration and fermented in stainless steel. Reds ferment on skins in separate containers, then age in large wooden or barrique barrels for about one year. The house has been certified sustainable since vintage 2019. The portfolio includes Weißburgunder Selection 2024, Life, pure Lust am Leben Schaumwein, and Merlot Heideboden 2023. A tasting room and picnic area are available.
