Rex Reid established Reid's Livery Winery in Alvaton in spring 2009. The program spans fruit wines, hybrids, and vinifera, drawing on grapes grown in Scottsville and juice sourced from New York. The Black Raspberry has claimed Gold three years running and a Commissioner's Cup for Best Boutique Wine in Kentucky. Norton, aged in bourbon barrels as part of the Hilltop Vineyard Blend, earned Double Gold at both Wines of the South and Indy-International. Triple Crown Blackberry took People's Choice at Wines of the South. The winery has accumulated over 250 awards since 2009. Visits by reservation.
